July is a very busy time for us because we are making preparations for our yearly celebration in the park.

Eight years ago we decided to have a party and invite a few of our friends and family to celebrate our first recording with Lamp Studios in Cleveland, TN.

My husband and I were also looking for a way to unite our two families. To make a long story short; our guest list was too large for our home, so we set a date, reserved a local park, bought a few hot dogs, cokes, and a cake. I later got this idea for a treasure hunt. Ideas just kept growing until we were adding a Pinata for the children, small prizes and stuffed animals to be given away. The event was such a hit with everyone that we decided to make it a yearly celebration.  If you are going to be in the area mark you calendars...

Everyone is welcome and as always there will be free refreshments and free fun and games for the entire family.

Over the years many things have been added and some things have been changed but one thing still remains; the day is blessed with God's gift of love for our fellow man. When I see the eyes in a little face light up over winning just a small toy or hear someone say thank you for the only meal they had that day, it makes me want to work harder and harder to spread God's love.
